Spread (bid–ask)

The gap between the best bid and the best ask — the cost of trading immediately.

A $20.00 bid and a $20.05 ask is a five-cent spread. Cross it both ways and you've paid it, before the price has moved at all. Busy, liquid names often trade with one-cent spreads; thin names can have spreads of several percent. VERA has no live bid/ask feed, so the Radar treats spread as not measured rather than guessing at it.
